OpenVPN connections, a choice of server locations, and a connection status screen. Speed and availability depend on your network and the selected server.
Install and connect
- Open the Google Play listing and check compatibility with your device.
- Install or update FreeAndroidVPN, then open the app.
- Choose Quick Connect or a server, approve Android’s VPN request, and wait for the connected status.
If a connection fails
Check that your normal internet connection works. Try another server, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, and update the app. Send the server name and error message through the app’s bug report or the contact page.

Is a direct APK download available?
This website currently directs installations to Google Play and does not offer a separate APK file. Avoid files from unverified sources. Google Play supplies the build compatible with your device.
Why do updates differ between devices?
Google Play updates may roll out gradually. Open the app’s store listing and use Update when it is available. Compatibility, country and rollout eligibility can affect which release you receive.
Privacy and ads
FreeAndroidVPN includes advertising and app diagnostics. A VPN does not make you completely anonymous. Read the privacy policy for information about data handling.
